Spay & Neuter program

Spay & Neuter is not only healthy for you pet but also a necessity to help control overpopulation of unwanted pets within your community.

Kern County is currently in crisis in regards to its pet population. Hundreds of animals are currently being euthanized every month. We need to stop this cycle. The community created this problem so we need the community’s help to fix it. SOS Dog Rescue has recently received some generous funding to help tackle the Spay & Neuter problem throughout Bakersfield and Kern County.

If you live in Kern County and have pet(s) that needs affordable spay & neuter please complete email the following information to appointments@strengthofshadow.org.

** Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee an appointment. It puts you on a universal waiting list. When a clinic becomes available, whether ours or another within the county, you will be contacted by a scheduler via call, text or email to confirm details of an appointment. Please DO NOT contact location hosts of any upcoming clinics.
